Australian Grand Prix Cancelled as Poor Visibility Grounds Medical Helicopter

Sunday's on-track activities at the 2026 MotoGP Grand Prix of Australia at Phillip Island were cancelled after poor visibility prevented the medical helicopter from operating safely. The Australian Grand Prix Corporation said racing could not proceed without the helicopter able to operate. It acknowledged the disappointment for spectators, teams and everyone who had contributed to the event, saying safety must come first. The corporation said it was working with ticketing partners to facilitate full refunds for Sunday ticket holders and partial refunds for those with multi-day tickets.
