BrainsWay Says U.S. Insurance Coverage for OCD Treatment Tops 118 Million People

BrainsWay said U.S. insurance policies covering its Deep TMS treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder now include more than 118 million Americans. The medical-device company, which operates in Israel and the United States, said additional medical policies had expanded access to the noninvasive treatment. Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation is indicated as an adjunct treatment for adults with OCD, according to the company. The milestone concerns people enrolled in policies that cover the treatment, rather than the number of patients treated, and does not represent a new FDA clearance.
