Health Ministry Warns Against Revival Miracle Hair Straightener

Israel’s Health Ministry called on consumers and salon operators to stop using, marketing and selling Revival Miracle hair straightener on October 26. The warning followed a report that a woman was hospitalized at Rambam Hospital after using the product. A preliminary ministry inquiry found it was marketed without a cosmetics license or marketing notification. The ministry said the label lists glyoxylic acid, which is prohibited in hair-straightening products in Israel. An official collected a sample from the salon for laboratory testing in the coming days, and the investigation remains open.
