IDF Discloses 15-Meter Shaft Found Near Hebron Attacker’s Home

The IDF disclosed Monday that troops conducting a counterterrorism operation in Hebron found an underground shaft on Sunday near the home of one attacker involved in Friday’s Judea Junction clash. The discovery came during searches of more than 500 locations, the military said. The shaft is about 15 meters deep and 75 centimeters wide, and a preliminary examination found no exit opening. Specialists are continuing to investigate it, while an electronic device recovered inside has been transferred for further security examination. The IDF said the shaft lies inside Hebron, with no Israeli community nearby.
