Jordan Says Three Suspects in Karak Church Attack Arrested After Shootout

Jordan’s Public Security Directorate said security forces arrested three suspects linked to Friday’s church attack in Hmoud village, Karak Governorate, during a pre-dawn operation on Monday. The directorate said tracking teams located them in an abandoned house in the governorate. According to its statement, the suspects refused to surrender and opened fire, prompting security forces to return fire. All three were wounded, disarmed and detained, while no security personnel were injured, the directorate said. Authorities said firearms and live ammunition were recovered; Friday’s attack killed nine people.
