Nigeria’s OK Movement Criticises NDC Campaign Council Ahead of Inauguration

John Ughulu, director-general of the Obi-Kwankwaso Movement, criticised the Nigeria Democratic Congress’s newly announced campaign council in a statement circulated to journalists in Abuja on Monday. He questioned the timing of the party’s campaign organisation and said effective grassroots coordination mattered more than prominent appointments. Ughulu said the movement had already established its own network and would retain its organisational independence while supporting Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso. The criticism followed Sunday’s announcement of the council. The party planned to inaugurate the council in Abuja on Monday.
