LIG D&A Says Court Suspends Two-Year Bidding Ban Until November 20

LIG Defense & Aerospace said Tuesday that a court had temporarily suspended South Korea’s Defense Acquisition Program Administration’s two-year ban on the company bidding for defence procurement contracts. The company said in a regulatory filing that the suspension runs until November 20, allowing it to continue bidding. A hearing on its request for a longer suspension, pending its lawsuit challenging the administrative sanction, is scheduled for November 5. The ban was due to take effect Thursday, following the indictment of company officials on charges of bribing a DAPA official during weapons tenders.
