Wallabies Recall Kurtley Beale and Add James Ramm and Kalani Thomas for UK Tour

Australia completed its November touring squad on October 28 by adding Kurtley Beale, James Ramm and Kalani Thomas. Beale returns to the Wallabies group in place of Hunter Paisami, who is unavailable for personal reasons, as the team prepares for Nations Championship matches in the United Kingdom. Beale has played 95 Tests for Australia. He was last selected in a national squad in 2024, before an Achilles injury cut short his season, and last appeared for the Wallabies against Wales in Cardiff in 2021. Coach Les Kiss said Beale would mainly provide cover at inside centre, with his versatility allowing him to fill other backline positions. Kiss said: “With Hunter’s unavailability we’re excited by what Kurtley can bring to the group.” The coach pointed to Beale’s performances for Western Force in Super Rugby Pacific and Super Rugby AUS when explaining the recall. Ramm, 28, offers cover at fullback and on the wing. He recently helped Northland reach New Zealand’s NPC final and is due to join Western Force for the 2027 Super Rugby Pacific season. Kiss praised his recent form and the experience of British rugby he gained with Northampton Saints. Thomas will join after his Australia A commitments. Tate McDermott is expected to return to Australia during November for the birth of his first child. The squad leaves for the UK on Saturday and will face England in London, Scotland in Edinburgh and Wales in Cardiff before a finals weekend beginning November 27.
