Applications for Rehovot’s 2027 municipal grants and support payments are open, with submissions due by midnight on November 25, 2026. Mayor Matan Dil said the application system opened this week through the grants and support section of the municipality’s website. Dil said he had ordered a renewed review of the grants process to make information easier to find and establish clear, consistent rules for examining applications. He described the city’s hundreds of associations and organizations as working across education, welfare, sports, culture, community activities and other fields. Their requests are to receive professional consideration under a uniform procedure. The process outlined for 2027 begins with setting eligibility criteria and publishing the call for applications. Organizations then submit their requests through a new system, followed by committee discussions and approval by the city council. Professional oversight of organizations’ activities and their progress toward stated targets also forms part of the process. Dil said Rehovot had published its first consolidated guidance booklet for applicants. A dedicated conference brought together representatives of organizations working in different fields, explained the process and provided an opportunity to ask questions. Municipal director-general Yosfa Haliva, deputy mayor Eldad Gadasi, grants committee coordinator Dikla Levy and professional teams were involved in preparing the process.
