British singer Boy George arrived in Israel on October 31 ahead of two concerts at Tel Aviv's Menora Mivtachim Arena. He flew in by private aircraft and was welcomed at the Fattal terminal. The performances are being organized by Live Nation Israel. Boy George said his visit reflected his love and belief in peace, and his wish for people to dance, live and celebrate together again. He also spoke about his Jewish friends and said he had felt compelled to tell their story publicly. His arrival statement linked the upcoming performances with that message of friendship. Among those welcoming him were Guy Besser, one of Live Nation Israel's owners, and Sylvan Adams, identified as president of the World Jewish Congress's Israel branch. Adams thanked the singer for his friendship and understanding during difficult days for Israel and Jewish people. The visit's announced schedule includes a November 3 visit and press conference at the Nova site near Gaza. The first Tel Aviv concert is scheduled for November 4, with Israeli singer Ivri Lider taking part. A second performance on November 7 will be dedicated to the Nova community and their families, with DJ Ofer Nissim joining the event.
