Rehovot Invites High-School Students to November 24 Safeguarding Session

Rehovot’s Women’s Forum, the Tair association and the municipal youth department are inviting high-school students to a Zoom session on November 24 about safeguarding in social and public settings. The online meeting is scheduled for 16:00–17:00 and is aimed at girls and boys in grades 10–12. The invitation was publicized on November 2 as part of the month raising awareness about violence against women. The organizers have titled the session “We Do Not Stand By.” They say the number of places is limited and that participating students can receive recognition for two hours of social involvement. Registration is required for that recognition. The invitation combines the scheduled educational session with an opportunity for students to have their participation counted toward their social-involvement activity. The registration form asks students to provide their full name, school and grade, together with a mobile telephone number and email address. It identifies the event as a gathering for awareness of violence against women and confirms the two-hour social-involvement recognition. The form states that the Zoom link will be sent to registrants by email, providing the access details for the forthcoming online meeting.
