Eisenkot Pledges to Renew Bipartisan U.S. Ties and Work Closely With Trump
Yashar leader Gadi Eisenkot pledged on November 4 to renew the bipartisan foundations of Israel’s relationship with the United States and pursue close cooperation with President Donald Trump’s administration. In a message issued in English and Hebrew to partners in America and around the world, he said he and his partners were working to establish a national emergency government as soon as possible. He presented the election as a public demand to replace the current government. Eisenkot described the American connection as more than an alliance between governments, calling it “a partnership between peoples.” He said the relationship had developed over generations on shared democratic values and promised to deepen it. His message described the leadership he sought as serving all Israelis and building a stronger Jewish and democratic country, committed to liberal values and equality. He also set out an ambition to work with allies on regional cooperation and opportunities while reducing conflict. Turning directly to Trump, Eisenkot expressed appreciation for the president’s friendship and commitment to Israel. He said he looked forward to close and constructive work with the administration on shared security interests, regional stability and opportunities for prosperity. He described Israel as a reliable and capable strategic partner for the United States and said cooperation should benefit both countries across public life.
