IDF Strikes Two Suspects Near Its Troops in Southern Lebanon

An Israeli drone struck two suspects riding a motorcycle in Qabrikha, southern Lebanon, on November 4, killing one and wounding the other, according to security sources. The sources said the two had approached Israeli troops and presented an immediate threat to them. Security authorities were still examining the suspects’ identities and whether they had been armed. Membership in Hezbollah had not been confirmed. The strike was carried out by a Zik drone, and the investigation into who the two were remained under way after the attack. The incident was described as the first targeted strike of this kind in the area for several weeks. Israeli strikes against infrastructure had continued during that period. In a separate statement on November 1, the IDF said troops of the 769th Brigade, operating under the 91st Division around Al-Khiam, were working to remove threats and dismantle terrorist infrastructure. The military reported finding weapons in a civilian home and dismantling a storage site for explosive drones. It listed rockets, Kalashnikov rifles, ammunition and protective equipment among the items found, and reiterated its commitment to the ceasefire.
