Mazkeret Batya Expects Devorah Omer Garden’s Toddler Area to Reopen November 8

Mazkeret Batya Local Council said on November 5 that renovation of the toddler area in Devorah Omer Garden was nearing completion. The area is expected to reopen on Sunday, November 8, following work on the play equipment and the ground surface. In its latest notice, the council said the equipment had undergone maintenance and upgrading and that artificial turf had been installed. It described the aim as providing a pleasant, safe and welcoming place for children and families. The notice was issued by the council’s municipal services department. “The public space belongs to all of us,” the council said. Alongside the reopening announcement, it asked residents to keep the garden clean, look after the equipment and other public property, and avoid damage or vandalism so the space can continue to serve its users. The council’s November 1 notice had scheduled the renovation work for November 2–6. That earlier announcement said the playground area would be fenced and closed, with entry to the fenced section prohibited until the work was finished. The November 5 update adds the expected reopening date to that earlier works timetable.
