Abu Dhabi Property Transactions Reach AED 171.26 Billion in First Nine Months of 2026
Abu Dhabi recorded AED 171.26 billion in property transactions during the first nine months of 2026, the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre said on November 7. The total was 76.1% higher than in the same period of 2025. Transaction numbers rose 32.8% to 38,483, compared with 28,977 a year earlier. Sales accounted for most of the growth, reaching AED 119.33 billion across 23,749 transactions. Sales value increased 105% and volume rose 49.2% compared with the first nine months of 2025. Mortgage transactions were worth AED 45.92 billion, up 30.2%, while their number increased 13.2% to 14,390. ADREC Director General Rashed Al Omaira said regulation must reflect the expectations of buyers, businesses and residents, including delivery and functioning communities. “That commitment extends well beyond the transaction itself,” he said. The centre also registered 54 new development projects and issued 3,677 licences for real estate professionals, a 32% increase in licences. Foreign investment in Abu Dhabi's investment zones rose 131% to AED 86.11 billion, representing 81% of investment value within those zones. Property investment by non-resident individuals reached AED 17.22 billion, compared with AED 8.2 billion for the whole of 2025. Investors came from 121 nationalities, with the United Kingdom, China, Russia, the United States, France and Germany leading by value.
