Israeli CISO Indicted Over AI-Assisted Malware Attacks on 26 Companies

State prosecutors indicted Michael “Miki” Bar, 43, of Ashkelon, alleging that the information-security executive used malware to infiltrate 26 companies, two kibbutzim and private individuals, causing about NIS 1.5 million in damage. The 11-count indictment alleges 28 unauthorized-access offenses, 44 virus-introduction offenses and 155 privacy violations. Investigators say Bar used AI to develop WindowsAudit.exe and Weserch, installed them across corporate networks and issued thousands of remote commands. Bar has not been convicted, and the allegations remain subject to court proceedings.
