Likud Petitions High Court Against Sohlberg’s Voter-Attendance Reporting Ban

Likud petitioned the High Court to overturn Central Elections Committee chair Noam Sohlberg’s ban on party representatives reporting in real time whether voters attended polling stations or cast ballots. The party, represented by attorneys Ilan Bombach and Ofek Brook, argues the August 4 rule changed election procedures during the campaign and exceeded Sohlberg’s administrative authority. Likud also asks the court to overturn the rejection of its reconsideration request. If the ban remains, the petition seeks to delay its application until after the 26th Knesset election.
