Ben Gurion Management and Union Agree on Immediate Staffing Measures

Israel Airports Authority management and the workers’ committee agreed Sunday on immediate measures to stabilize operations at Ben Gurion Airport after weekend congestion. Headquarters and management employees will join terminal shifts, focusing on baggage handling and passenger queues, while recruitment continues ahead of the Tishrei holiday period. The authority said baggage, security and ground services were operating normally without labor sanctions. Passengers were asked to verify flight times with their airlines and follow arrival instructions, while the workers’ committee said staffing shortages and heavy overtime had contributed to recent disruption.
