Documents and testimony cited in a new investigation say the Shin Bet, Military Intelligence and Egyptian officials warned from 2018 or 2019 that Qatari aid was reaching Hamas’s military wing. A senior intelligence officer estimated Hamas diverted about $4 million monthly, roughly 40%-50% of the wing’s $70 million-$100 million annual budget, while sources described a separate covert route totaling more than $100 million. The investigation says Netanyahu received at least two Shin Bet briefings and later queried a 2020 intelligence review. The Prime Minister’s Office rejected the report as recycled lies and said security chiefs supported humanitarian grants.
