Israel Aerospace Industries completed the first test flight of its Airbus A330-300 passenger-to-freighter conversion on 4 September 2026. The flight lasted about 75 minutes and formed part of the certification campaign.

The conversion removed about 350 passenger seats and the cabin fittings. A new main-deck cargo door, 3.6 metres wide and 2.6 metres high, was installed ahead of the wing.

IAI lists capacity for up to 30 containers and a payload of up to 61 tons, with an electrical cargo-loading system. The aircraft is designed for regional and medium-haul cargo routes. Certification is required before commercial cargo service.
