Katz Sets Space-Laser Goal to Preserve Israel's Military Edge

Defense Minister Israel Katz told military and diplomatic reporters that Israel is making offensive and defensive space capabilities, including powerful laser beams, a top defense priority. He wants Israel to recruit the best minds and become a world leader in space attack capabilities, and last week's remarks showed the same strategic push beyond satellite protection toward disrupting enemy systems and operating from space. Katz also ordered the IDF to prepare an independent blue-and-white operation if Iran fires missiles again. Israel's answer to Iran's missiles and proxies is technological superiority, deterrence and freedom to defend itself.
