Waltz Names Ellie Cohanim Senior Policy Advisor at USUN

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz appointed Ellie Cohanim as senior policy advisor at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations on July 3. The official USUN post says Cohanim was born in Tehran, raised in New York, fights antisemitism and brings lived experience to the UN. She previously served as deputy special envoy against antisemitism and worked on the Abraham Accords. For Israel, placing an Iranian-born Jewish anti-regime voice near the UN fight strengthens American pushback against Tehran, antisemitism and diplomatic double standards.
