Government Approves Adi Wells as National Service Chief
The government on July 5 approved Settlements and National Missions Minister Orit Strock's proposal to appoint Adi Wells as director-general of the National Service-Civilian Authority. Strock's first-party announcement on June 18 said Wells, 42, a mother of seven with a master's degree in social work, was chosen from about 130 candidates after a search process that sent three finalists to the minister. She currently heads the Welfare Department in the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration and previously held senior social-work roles in Aminadav. The appointment gives Israel's national-civic service system a leader rooted in aliyah, welfare and Torah-respecting civic contribution.
