Qaani and Vahidi Attend Khamenei Funeral Prayers in Tehran

On July 5, Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani led funeral prayers at Tehran's Grand Mosalla for Ali Khamenei and relatives killed in the February U.S.-Israeli strike. Khamenei's sons Masoud, Meysam and Mostafa attended with President Masoud Pezeshkian, parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, IRGC chief Ahmad Vahidi and Quds Force commander Esmail Qaani. Successor Mojtaba Khamenei was absent, reportedly wounded and hiding, while posters and chants called for killing Trump and Netanyahu and for death to America and Israel. Israel should read the spectacle soberly: Iran's terror command remains visible, and deterrence must stay tight while talks wait.
