Border Police Wound Guards in Qalandiya Weapon-Snatch Clash
Police said Border Police officers heading to an operational mission passed through a security-forces gate at the Qalandiya Crossing when a civilian vehicle tried to enter from Judea and Samaria. The officers approached to identify the occupants, who allegedly exited, punched and choked the force and tried to snatch their weapons. One officer fired warning shots, and another fired at the attackers' lower bodies after seeing a colleague being choked, lightly wounding two men. Police later said the wounded men were employed as security guards but had not identified themselves; several Border Police officers were also lightly hurt, and the incident is under investigation.
