Channel 13 Poll Puts Yashar Ahead of Likud for First Time

A Channel 13 poll released Wednesday evening puts Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar party at 23 mandates and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud at 22, the first time Likud has trailed Yashar in a Channel 13 survey. Bennett and Lapid's Beyachad list drew 15, followed by the Democrats and Yisrael Beitenu at 10 apiece, and Shas, United Torah Judaism and Otzma Yehudit each at 8. Yashar gained two seats since the last Channel 13 reading; Likud lost one. The opposition bloc held its majority, extending a trend across recent surveys showing the former IDF chief of staff emerging as Netanyahu's most durable electoral challenger heading into the anticipated fall campaign.
