Jadeidi-Makr Victim Identified as Son Remains Seriously Hurt

Reports identified Mahmoud Naimi as the man killed Tuesday night in a shooting at Jadeidi-Makr in the western Galilee, while his adult son remained seriously wounded after being taken for treatment. Police said officers worked the scene, gathered evidence and searched for suspects; no arrests were reported when the articles were published. The shooting came hours after a separate fatal shooting in Tamra and put the Arab-community homicide toll reported by Israeli outlets above 150 this year. The case adds to the internal-security pressure on northern towns and the police units confronting criminal violence.
