Burnham Says UK Must Put More Pressure on Israel

Andy Burnham, described in British reports as prime minister-in-waiting, said Thursday that the UK was too slow to call for a Gaza ceasefire and must put more pressure on Israel. He apologized for Labour's initial Gaza response, said the party got it wrong, and noted existing arms-license restrictions meant to prevent British weapons from being used by the IDF in Gaza or the West Bank.
