Former Shin Bet and Mossad Operative Joins Eisenkot's Yashar Party
Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar party announced Thursday that Dvora Sharifian Bachar, a 44-year-old former Shin Bet and Mossad operative born in Tehran and brought to Israel as a child in a covert Mossad operation, is joining the party ahead of the Knesset election. The party said she brings 22 years of security experience, including elite Shin Bet work and Mossad intelligence, data and cyber roles, along with education and social-enterprise work focused on the periphery. Sharifian Bachar said Israel's internal challenges require service from the decision-making arena, while Eisenkot called her a fighter for the periphery. Her recruitment strengthens Yashar's campaign pitch around security credentials, social cohesion and responsible state leadership.
