Netanyahu Says Venezuela Aid Mission Is Rebuilding Ties

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Israel's Venezuela earthquake-aid delegation Thursday evening that it is rebuilding ruins and relations nearly two decades after Caracas severed diplomatic ties with Israel. He spoke with Home Front Command Brig. Gen. Elad Edri and ambassador-designate Yoed Magen, praising the team for showing the true face of Israel while helping a country that requested Israeli assistance. Reports said the 30-plus-person delegation has spent ten days classifying damaged buildings, coordinating with Venezuela's Infrastructure Ministry and preparing a national reconstruction plan approved by acting president Delcy Rodriguez. Edri said the team is working with local officials and the Jewish community.
