Eight Men Indicted Over White House Plot That Included Netanyahu

A federal grand jury in Columbus, Ohio indicted eight men over an alleged plot to attack the UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House on June 14, with prosecutors saying Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was among the listed high-value targets. The Justice Department said the defendants face conspiracy counts for providing material support to terrorists and for murder on federal government territory or murder of a federal official. Reports said the alleged plan involved explosive-laden drones followed by sniper fire at fleeing attendees, and that an eighth suspect, Chandler D. Scaggs, was arrested this week. Netanyahu did not attend the event; prosecutors said the target list also included the U.S. president, vice president, federal officials, Elon Musk and other high-value targets.
