Iran Denies Fresh Blasts as Hormuz Shipping Dispute Deepens

Iranian state media denied reports of multiple new explosions across several southern cities, even as Iranian and regional accounts reported activity around Bushehr, Konarak and other coastal areas after two nights of U.S.-Iran strikes. Tehran framed the reports as aggression and in some accounts blamed the United States and Israel, while a U.S. denial and Israel's readout of Netanyahu's call with Trump described the fighting as American operations in the Gulf. The same cycle deepened the Strait of Hormuz dispute, with Iran pressing for IRGC control over transit approvals and U.S.-aligned states rejecting the claim. Israel's interest is freedom of navigation, contained Iranian escalation and no ambiguity that lets Tehran pressure Jerusalem or Gulf partners.
