Iran Retaliation Hits UAE, Bahrain and Qatar After U.S. Iran Strikes

Iran's Revolutionary Guard fired ballistic missiles and drones at U.S. military sites across the Gulf early Sunday morning, drawing air-defense engagement over the United Arab Emirates, shelter alerts across Bahrain and booms over Doha, in retaliation for CENTCOM's overnight third round of strikes on Iran. The IRGC claimed strikes on U.S. Army fuel storage in Bahrain, a satellite antenna in Qatar and Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan. UAE and Qatari defense ministries said their forces were intercepting the projectiles. Israel's Iron Dome batteries and Iron Beam laser system were rushed to the UAE earlier in the war to help intercept Iranian missiles and drones, and remain active in the shared Gulf air-defense picture.
