Netanyahu Responds to Khanna, Says Israel Is Acting Against Vigilantes

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded Sunday to Rep. Ro Khanna's account of being blocked by armed Israelis in the West Bank, saying Israel is a nation of laws and is acting against vigilantes. He said 99% of the settler community obeys the law and serves the country, while about 150 juvenile delinquents operate outside it. Khanna says soldiers sided with the blockers and prolonged the stop for 75 minutes; the IDF says troops quickly dispersed the civilians, reopened the road and did not participate. Netanyahu said his government is working to bring lawbreakers under the law.
