AliExpress Starts Checkout VAT Collection and Pickup Matching for Israel

AliExpress has begun collecting Israel’s value-added tax at checkout on orders above $75, replacing the later tax-payment step during customs release. The platform also lets shoppers update their pickup address in account settings so its delivery system can match packages to a more convenient collection point. Reports say shipping prices are expected to decline around the end of July or during August, while a large sale is planned for August. The advance VAT collection does not guarantee that private carriers will waive separate handling or release fees.
