Microbial Findings Trigger Haifa Beach Bathing Warning

Israel's Health Ministry issued a Monday-morning bathing warning for Haifa's Bat Galim, Zamir, Dado South and Students beaches after microbiological testing found abnormal seawater results. Haifa municipality had already closed five bathing zones: Students Beach, Dado station 6, Dado Center station 5, Zamir station 2 including the toddler pool, and Bat Galim north and south. The city said another sampling test would be conducted during the day and that further steps would depend on the results. Officials asked the public to avoid the listed beaches until further notice and reminded swimmers to use only declared beaches.
