Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck by Car in Tiberias

An approximately 50-year-old pedestrian died Tuesday night after a private car struck him on President Weizmann Street in Tiberias. Emergency crews found him with a severe head injury and multisystem trauma, performed CPR at the scene and continued resuscitation while taking him to North Medical Center, Poria. His death was declared at the hospital, and his identity had not been established in initial reports. Tiberias police and Northern District traffic investigators detained the driver and opened an investigation into the circumstances of the fatal collision.
