Health Ministry Closes Hadera Restaurant Over Immediate Public Health Danger

Israel's Health Ministry ordered the immediate closure Wednesday of the Japan Japan restaurant at 11 Hillel Yafe Street in Hadera after a joint inspection with municipal representatives. The order cited serious structural and operating deficiencies and a poor sanitary condition that posed an immediate danger to diners. Inspectors reported cockroaches and flying insects, improper food temperatures, expired fish eggs, inadequate separation of raw and ready-to-eat food, and no hot water. Salmon and tuna held at unsafe temperatures were destroyed, and the owners were summoned to a July 20 hearing.
