IAI Unveils Hypnosis Soft-Kill Defense Against Drone Swarms
Israel Aerospace Industries unveiled HYPNOSIS, a long-range soft-kill air-defense system designed to disrupt or deny satellite navigation and timing used by low-cost drones, one-way attack aircraft and swarms. The system networks multiple mobile stations under a central command-and-control center to protect strategic sites, energy infrastructure and air-defense assets. IAI says the fully automatic system complements kinetic interceptors, allowing defenders to reserve costly missiles for threats that pass the electronic layer. The company describes the technology as combat-proven navigation warfare designed for integration into existing multi-layered defenses.
