Isramco and Mubadala Sign Initial 80 BCM Egypt Gas Export Plan

Isramco and Mubadala Energy signed a non-binding memorandum with an unnamed foreign buyer for up to 80 billion cubic meters of Tamar natural gas for export to Egypt. If all Tamar partners join, the proposed deal is estimated at about $20 billion, with Isramco projecting roughly $5.75 billion in revenue for its 28.75% share. Supply would begin in 2031, while a binding agreement still requires commercial negotiations, decisions by other field partners and an export permit from Israel's Energy Ministry. The plan could become Tamar's largest export arrangement, but Isramco cautioned that completion is not assured.
