White House Officials Say Netanyahu-Trump Meeting Was Never Scheduled

White House officials said a proposed meeting between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Donald Trump was never confirmed or added to the president's schedule, despite Israeli preparations for a Washington visit. Netanyahu's office and Israeli officials maintain that the meeting had been set for Monday at 11 a.m. before Lindsey Graham's funeral was postponed. The trip was called off amid disagreements over Iran, Israeli deployments in Syria and Lebanon, and Turkey. U.S. officials did not rule out a meeting when Netanyahu travels later this month for Graham's rescheduled memorial.
