A foreign national about 30 years old was seriously wounded in a stabbing at a construction site near the Dead Sea hotels early Saturday. Magen David Adom crews treated him at the scene and evacuated him to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba. One report said he was in serious condition, with clouded consciousness and a penetrating injury; another identified the incident specifically as a stabbing. The first verified reports, published at 2:09 and 2:16 a.m. Israel time, did not identify the victim, name a suspect, describe a motive or report an arrest.
