Iran Strikes Second Kuwaiti Power and Water Plant in Two Days

Iran struck another power-generation and water-desalination plant in Kuwait on Saturday, the second such attack in two days. Kuwait's Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Ministry said a fire broke out in one component and that several generating units were disconnected as a precaution. Emergency crews activated operational plans while working to contain the fire, protect grid stability and maintain electricity and water service. The renewed strike expanded Iran's attacks on Gulf civilian infrastructure during the continuing U.S.-Iran confrontation; initial reports did not name the plant, quantify the damage or report deaths at the facility.
