The IDF announced Sunday that Col. A. had assumed command of the Bislamach Brigade. In remarks accompanying the appointment, the new commander said he was accepting the post with a sense of mission and an understanding of the responsibility on his shoulders. He said current conditions require constant readiness and pledged that professional, principled and worthy commanders would stand at the front. The initial announcement did not publish the colonel's full name, identify his predecessor, give the ceremony's location or date, or specify immediate changes to the brigade's training and operational assignments.
