Jordan Says Border Guards Downed Five Iranian Drones Overnight

Jordan's armed forces said Border Guard units intercepted five Iranian drones launched toward the kingdom overnight Monday and Tuesday morning. A military source said the drones were neutralized precisely under defensive procedures, with no casualties or property damage. The armed forces said they are continuing to monitor Jordanian airspace and remain operationally ready to act against aerial threats under standing rules of engagement. Jordan, which hosts U.S. forces and aircraft, has faced repeated Iranian attacks since the interim U.S.-Iran deal collapsed amid the renewed fight over the Strait of Hormuz.
