Iran Warns Nuclear-Site Strike Would Trigger Regional Retaliation
Iran's military warned that an American attack on its nuclear facilities would prompt strikes on U.S. interests across the region. The statement followed President Donald Trump's announcement that U.S. forces would hit the area near Pickaxe Mountain, a fortified underground site near Natanz, very soon and heavily. Israeli officials separately assess that a broader American campaign against Iran could prompt Tehran to retaliate directly against Israel. Iran already has been attacking U.S. bases and allied infrastructure across the region during the renewed fighting.
