Trump Approves U.S.-Saudi Civil Nuclear Agreement

President Donald Trump approved a 30-year civil nuclear cooperation agreement with Saudi Arabia, according to two people familiar with the decision. The pact is expected to involve U.S. companies in developing the kingdom's program and could permit a Saudi uranium-enrichment facility after a joint study. It is expected to be announced as early as Wednesday and submitted to Congress for review within days. The White House had not formally announced the decision or responded to requests for comment when the reports were published.
