Trump Conditions Saudi Nuclear Pact on Joining Abraham Accords

President Donald Trump said the U.S.-Saudi civilian nuclear agreement will be approved only if Saudi Arabia normalizes relations with Israel and joins the Abraham Accords. He also said the pact will permit no enrichment and applies only to nonmilitary use. The Energy Department announced Wednesday that the countries had signed a 123 agreement and a bilateral safeguards pact, but released few details. Earlier reporting said the framework could allow Saudi enrichment after a joint study, creating a factual conflict with Trump's new statement about the agreement's terms.
