Heavy to Extreme Heat Stress Forecast Across Most of Israel

Heavy to extreme heat stress is forecast across most of Israel on Thursday, with above-seasonal temperatures in the mountains and interior and humid conditions along the coastal plain. Highs are expected to reach 42°C in Eilat, 41°C in Beit Shean and Ein Gedi, 39°C in Katzrin and Tiberias, and 32°C in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Partly cloudy conditions are expected overnight. Temperatures should fall on Friday, mainly in the mountains and interior, with heat stress easing and afternoon winds strengthening.
