Mossad Foils Iranian Plot to Infiltrate Terror Cell Targeting Israeli Officials
Israel's Mossad and Shin Bet said they foiled an Iranian Intelligence Ministry effort to infiltrate foreign operatives into Israel to attack senior Israeli officials. According to the agencies, Iranian officers used layers of criminal proxies to recruit a France-based operative known as Philip, who assembled a team of foreign nationals and traveled repeatedly to Iran for meetings and payment. International investigations exposed the proxy network and its Iranian handlers, while Philip was expelled from France. The agencies said two intermediaries remain in Iran and continue trying to activate terror cells, and that international intelligence services are monitoring them.
